How the hell can they call a late hit WHEN THE PLAYER WAS NOT DOWN! WTF? First that targeting bullshite, now you can't hit somebody? How many times have you seen a player run for extra yards or even a touchdown when everyone thought he was down(auburn 2010 NC) . Im glad Loston laid the wood on that guy. He could have caused a fumble. It's unlikely that would have effected us winning though, but shite like that is ruining football...

All bais Bama's fans don't either bother posting on this tread. Nobody cares.

Yeah it was absolutely a horrible call. It was also definitely not targeting that was also a bs argument.

Gary and Verne were absolutely horrible last night.

How? He was still up and not running? He was looking straight at Loston while Loston poped his arse. What do you want Loston to do just sit there and watch him fight for extra yards?

I dont' understand how the NCAA could even make up targeting. So if somebody gets blindsided is that targeting? Like on special teams or on defense. Arn't they defenseless? The fact is that all this targeting bullshite has made the refs throw flags on every single big hit...

I just think how a couple years ago that would have been considered a great swarm tackle. The announcers make it seem like Loston is a thug. And he is not at all. I've met Loston personally and even worked out with him in some football drills. (I know yall don't care though lol)

Good luck arguing with Alabama idiots who still think it was a clean hit on Murray in last year's SECCG.

My biggest issue was not the call, it was Lost on not wrapping up. The terrible tackling by our D is so freaking frustrating. If they could tackle, this year would look so much different.

It was a horrible call. As were several others, along with the obligatory no calls. Would neutral officiating have made a difference this time? It wouldn't have hurt.

Just sick of the BS.

If fanatics on the board, after studying replays, can't agree, how can you criticize someone else who has to make an immediate decision, to always agree with you?
If you can remember back a few years, when Herb Tyler was crushed by a Florida linebacker, three seconds after the ball left his hands, you would be applauding the attempts made to protect players. Most of the players hope to have a life after college football. I appreciate the attempts to make the game safer.

The refs were beyond fair. I was in the stadium and that hit was late as hell.

Typical Bama homer bad calls. Happens every year. How about the raping and mugging of OBJ in the end zone, yet they call R Robinson for a touch foul...

He was lucky not to be ejected. You can't get away that stuff anymore.

The point of the OP is the hit on Landry wasn't called. All the Bama posters are ignoring this fact. It was 24-17 with LSU in good field position. With that penalty LSU in well into Bama territory. Would that have changed the game? Who knows, but that was a blow.
