Confidence, I like it.

Lache Seastrunk is the only guy who I see as worth a first round pick.

...and he probably wont end up a 1st rd pick

Is Charles Brown good enough? Can you find a contract that works for both him and the team?
No

I tend to think Streif will be back affordably
I think so too. I see some people talking shite about him but I don't know why. He's hardly the problem on the line.

Or is Armstead THE guy and ready to move up? Hell, Bryce Harris hasn't looked bad. That's just at OT.
Hopefully Armstead is ready. Would be great. Cheap and a reliable starter is always a good thing.

We need offensive line help and a stud wide receiver badly.

anyone on our line can be replaced, save Evans
You usually say smarter things than this Lester.
For real though, Strief is a pretty decent RT. Brown is sub-par, but we have Armstead to play for the starting job next year.

DLP is FA after this year I think, he'll either take a cheap rate or walk. I'd say draft in this order:
1st: O/G (preference given to one that has played Center in college before for redundancy).
2nd: OLB (JG has done well this year, but Martez obviously didn't work out and Victor Butler is still unproven in NO)
3rd: CB (PRob could be down for the count with this injury, need a legit starter now that Greer is aging)
4th: DE (another guy to fight for the spot opposite of Cam Jordan)
5th: Center (take a later round chance on a guy to fill the starting role)
6th: RB/WR (I say RB before WR because I'm more comfortable with Toon at WR than Ingram at RB)
7th: WR/RB

streif can be replced tho. And if there is an elite LT there in the draft, you move Armstead to RT. He could actually probably play guard, too.

Pick 32. After that doesn't matter.
Posted on 11/5/13 at 12:59 pm to Lester Earl
If we pick a C in the first I'll kick something. You can get better value with that position in the 2nd and even 3rd.
A guard would be fine. But people need to remember that Evans has been playing hurt, and that takes a lot away from the offensive line. Grubbs has looked bad, and DLP also, but Evans not at 100% certainly doesn't help things. The Saints used these 3 in the middle for 2011, and wrecked people's shite. They are more than capable of performing at a high level. The OT spots have been better than I expected. They have looked bad though, and if an extremely talented offensive linemen, preferably a G/C hybrid is there, I have no problem taking the guy.
I honestly wouldn't mind the Saints getting more offensive fire power. Thomas out of Oregon would be such a toy for Payton. And I'm not sold on what the Saints have at WR. I love Stills, and think he could be here long term. However, Colston is getting up there in age, as is Moore.
Other positions to look at:
CB - Lewis has been outstanding, but Greer is getting old. Is White the future? Not sure if I'd want to gamble on that.
OLB - Need someone to play opposite of Galette.

Actually, yeah I agree with this. And I say that thinking we really have something special in Stills who I think will in a year or two take over that #2 WR spot. Besides him right now our most reliable target has honestly been Moore. I hate to say it but Colston hasn't been himself for awhile now. I really hope he gets back to that status and I'm not saying he's done, but he is in 30s now. I was rooting for Toon but he just isn't making the plays, and actually, has been negatively affecting the offense tipping and not defending against possible interceptions.
Just imagine Marquise Lee/Sammy Watkins, Stills, Graham and either Moore or Colston. This offense is all of a sudden actually looking scary again instead of us relying on old habits.
That and we really need a stud to insert along the O-line to inject some new talent. I think it's a toss up between Grubbs and DLP who have been the weakest link, but I tend to lean towards replacing Grubbs considering DLP was part of that great 2011 unit. It just seems now that Grubbs is here, that middle has been sort of soft.

It's probably more the missing of Carl Nicks and Kromer. Grubbs is done a decent job IMO.
As for Stills, I really seeing him being a less douchey Steve Smith.

Big disappointment...he certainly didn't measure up to Carl Nicks...

We don't need to draft a RB. We would do much better just getting another undrafted rookie.
Posted on 11/6/13 at 12:17 pm to BilJ
We need OL help before we need a WR or RB. Draft the best OL available unless a great defender falls to us at the LB position. Then CB and then go sign the best FA possible because anyone after the third round in the draft most likely isn't going to come in and be immediately better than what we have in place.
Posted on 11/6/13 at 12:26 pm to ThreauxDown11
Seeing what just happened to Aaron Rodgers Monday night should have everyone begging for C/G/T all up and down this draft.
and sign a bumch of FA OL too. Just throw a bunch of big fat guys in camp and see which ones stick.

Would yall want to try to draft a guy in the first round such as LG Cyril Richardson from Baylor and possibly try to convert him to a C, or take a chance on a OLB such as Kyle Van Noy from BYU
