Dont know about Dirk. Yes, he shoots jumpers and doesnt bang on the block, but he crashes the glass and attacks/protects the rim with much more agression than Dirk has ever had.

Reminds me of a longer, more skilled and better Gerald Wallace or even Josh Smith.

Dirk wishes he had 1/16th the ability on help defense AD has

I agree Davis is a little "soft" of defense just that he doesn't bump and get dirty on the low block, but he's got great timing and the length to be great from the weakside on people going inside. He's a 4, in today's game you don't really want your 4s in there doing all that.

Dirk never did any of that shite. I can see the Dirk comparisons offensively (Kinda. AD seems to have a lot more potential putting the ball on the floor) but not on the other side of the ball. He's a lot more KG than Dirk.

y'all are bringing up defense when i'm talking offensive game. there is a reason a comment about D was in parentheses

It's a shame Dirk won his ring and didn't come back with the same desire. For a span he was the most unstoppable offensive player in the game. If AD can add that same drop step fadeaway... Good Lawd.

Okay. He still attacks the rim and crashes the boards with much more frequency and aggression than Dirk.

The Hibbert dunk attempt and the Zeller fast break take on were both frick you moves that Dirk aint got in his bag.

That's what I'm seeing. Actually, I'm not sure I see that much of a Dirk comparison overall.

dirk is underrated in his driving. look at his FTA in his prime, in the 6-7 range. same as AD is doing now

dirk was no westbrook, but he was pretty good (and amazing for a big man)

it's just how he plays on offense. very soft. he plays like a 3, not a 4 or 5

i'm not saying he IS dirk, but the dirk/KG comparisons are on, b/c both were the same 3/4 tweener until they got older and were resigned to the 4 only

Uhhhh, Lamar Odom played no D, got no rebounds, married the ugly Kardashian Sister, and smokes crack. AD on the other hand, blocks everything, hits the boards like the league hasn't seen since Moses Malone was attacking players with his arse, doesn't smoke crack and is dating one of the Gonzalez twins. He probably fricked both of them at the same time cause he's a smooth pimp like that.

He's like young KG without the douchebag.

Dirk was great at drawing FTs, but that doesn't mean they draw them in the same manner.

westbrook

Is actually a good comp stylistically. Davis goes wild to the rim and is all speed, length, aggression. Dirk was/is more about footwork and angles than raw ability
