You can't force kids to go anywhere, that is stupid.
You are a hypocrite because we pluck the best from Texas and the Midwest and even Florida sometimes.

I wish people like you would just become Bama fans. It'd make life easier for everyone

While I'm sure this is nothing but a troll attempt, I'll bite and say that I doubt Landon Collins is the lynchpin LSU is missing that would make this year's very avg. defense a top 5 group. While there may be areas where fans are justified in being critical of Les Miles, recruiting is not one of them.

What would you have done different to change the kids mind? Because ultimately, in the end, it's the kids decision.
So, since they "cant keep the talent," what should have been done differently?

Well would you rather go play for Nick Saban and win national championships back to back, or go play for Les Miles and go for back to back losses in the Chick Fil-A bowl. No brainer for most 18 year olds with major talent.

In the past, the stock LSU response from some posters was "won't matter" and "he's overrated" to even "he sucks."
Now it seems those responses have evolved into "what can you do?" and "it happens, there is nothing the staff could do."
Kinda sad.
Those that think losing a couple top in state recruits to Bama every year does not matter are just fooling themselves, its that simple. Or, they do know better and are just fronting with false attitude.

I'll also give an intelligent, factual answer just for fun.
In the LSU recruiting classes between 2010-2013, here is a breakdown of Out of State players:
2010:
8/19 = 42% OOS
Notable names: Spencer Ware, Ego Ferguson, Kadron Boone, Travis Dickson, JC Copeland
2011:
6/21 = 28.5% OOS
Notable names: Zach Mettenberger, Stephen Rivers, Jalen Collins, James Hairston
2012:
9/25 = 36% OOS
Notable names: Kwon Alexander, Corey Thompson, Vadal Alexander, Danielle Hunter, Reid Ferguson, Avery Peterson, Fehoko Fanaika
2013:
13/25 = 52% OOS
Notable names: Ethan Pocic, Frank Herron, Greg Gilmore, Hayden Rettig, Andy Dodd, Tashawn Bower, Anthony Jennings, Christian LaCouture, Lewis Neal, Maquedius Bain, Rashard Robinson
That averages out to 39.6% of our classes over the past four years are from out of state.
The facts prove:
1) You're an idiot
2) There are no state fences in recruiting, it is a national process
3) LSU doesn't only take Louisiana players, they take the best they can get regardless of where they are from.
And on a final note, we have a good chance of signing 4 Composite 5* players this class...I bet your whiny arse won't bitch about that.

Yo, TigerFan55555 ... thanks for pointing that out and giving us a "heads up" on this situation. Its about time someone brought this up ! ... i wonder how all the schools in other states keep all their in-state players from ever going out-of-state ... How come this only happens in Louisiana. Someone needs to investigate and PROVIDE SOME ANSWERS! We DEMAND it!
