This game, like most games between well-coached teams, is going to come down to which teams' players make the most plays and least mistakes

Recall Miles' comments a few weeks ago that he's looking forward to seeing this offense at the back-end of the season?

Yeah. We're gonna keep adding plays and formations getting more multiple and diverse as this season unfolds.

Saban gets the most new looks due to the bye week.

Game starts with all the hype but is a snoozer by the 3rd as LSU rolls 38-17

I think Les is trying to do whatever it takes to win the game they are playing that week!
Danielson said in game that LSU running attack is taking advantage of undersized Gator linebackers.
Just shows the versatility of the LSU offense right now.
It will be nice to see this against Bama because they have been fairly one dimensional last few years (yes, last year Mett was awesome, but they didn't let him pass it when it mattered most)

Not to throw a wrench in the gears, but if this game is a month away, why is it even being discussed as the "game of the year?" A lot can happen between now and then (and probably will).

LSU and Bama both only have one more game before they play each other.

The lack of brain wave activity on the Rant should be suprising...but it isn't.

LSU will have to go back to that passing attack against Alabama. That style they played against Fla will not work. Saban has always made his defenses strong against the run. The last two games is all Miles needs to refer to. Mettenberger had his finest game last season passing on them and I do not see why it shouldn't continue.

LSU proved against UGA that it doesn't have the d to just out score the opponent. Bama has an offense nearly as good as UGA's was that day. And aTm is better. We can't win against Bama and aTm simply by out scoring them. We have to control the TOP and keep the offenses off the field while keeping our defense fresh.

Cam vs. Saban will be a good matchup schematically, but don't think that Saban won't be prepared. He coached against Cam when they were in the B1G, so he knows him pretty well.

Yeah, but that was with Indiana's talent...

Actually, our offense did really well last year against Bama and I would hope we would look like that again (minus one or two calls) with a few more points.

If passing is the key, then why has the team which ran the ball the best won each of the last four LSU and Alabama games.

I think the LSU staff probably has a much better feel on what it takes to beat Alabama than you or me or anyone else here.

Sheridan just said on Sirius radio that LSU matches up well with Bama this year and could really give them problems, as he said he predicted this Summer? Basically said that Miles and Saban know each other well and outside of NC game the games are always very close and wouldn't be surprised if LSU beat Bama.

Considering Florida runs the same 4-3 defense that Saban does, Miles didn't want to give away what Cameron has in mind for Saban's defense.

You can bet Les will let Cameron open it up against Bama in November.

Stopping Bama's running attack is the big worry this year for Les and the Chief.

Que? He passed it when he shouldn't have. At the end of the game we go three and out on three pass plays stopping the clock and giving the ball back to BAMA with their timouts and plenty of time on the clock. Whether we get a first down or not there if we run it three times at worst they use up some timeouts and we still maybe take another 30 sec. off the clock. That was the worst series of play calls I've ever seen. But I still support CLM. He will take us to the ship this year.
