Hey Beam...you know in the other thread I was responding to Cosmo's comment about that girl being cute? How you been?

Hey Iona Looks like we have the same idea about late Sunday morning breakfast. But I made biscuits with my egg

Nice, NoHo

And about those neighbors, instead of using your shotgun, take out a baseball bat. Someone in LA needs to show that they can use one. Tomorrow is another day for Big Blue. Need these guys to show their hitting skills.

No baseball bat here, but I could put my driver to good use. I drive with a 3 wood, so my driver is just collecting dust.

If you want to be really effective, use the sand wedge. Heaviest club in the bag. We need to play a round some day.

@nurse, I do envy you taking your pups for a walk. I so miss the doggies I left.

Word. I'd get a burger, but that's just me. Maybe some fried mushroom caps.

checking in with the breakfast crowd. We had scrambled eggs and bacon with chocolate chip muffins. I have been cheating way too much lately. I blame stress.

Iona, I've mentioned it before but you should volunteer at an animal shelter. They usually are always looking for volunteers to walk/play/socialize with the dogs there.

I did that before I was able to get my pug, let me get my doggie fix when I needed it. Didn't matter how bad a mood I was in when I got to the shelter, always left smiling.

I've been going to PetSmart on the weekends when they have rescues available and play with those dogs. I need to pull the trigger on getting one. It's just that I'm not around a lot during the week.

There is a shelter not too far from here. I may look into doing some volunteer work there. Thanks, nurse.

No problem! Maybe you'll find a dog there eventually(when you are in a place to have more time to adopt one).

I always would talk up all the dogs whenever people were there looking to adopt to hopefully help the dogs find a good home. (Ex "that one there is a total sweetheart, just a great dog")

That is exactly how the volunteers at PetSmart interact with the people who visit.

I do get a fix in my neighborhood. There are dogs here from little Pomeranians and Chihuahuas to big dogs like Bernese Mountain Dogs. And from puppies to very old dogs. They all know me and I play with them when I see them out for a walk. The only one who will not come near people is a rescue Greyhound, she was obviously badly abused.
