I have only gotten through season 1 so far... Took 4 days.

Long commutes to and from work and watching with the wife severely slows me down.

Anyway, I started reading about the show online and on here, and I'm surprised by how many people were actually pulling for Walt and hated Jesse. I spent all of season 5a and 5b loathing Walt and wishing he would die a horrible death. I wonder if I have a different view of it because I was able to jump from episode to episode immediately without having to wait. Season 4 was absolutely incredible btw.

Heh. Same here... I don't think I've accomplished anything this past week.

Did it live up to the hype?

The only question I had was how exactly did Jesse realized Walt poisoned Brach? I know he realized it when he was at the bus stop and pulled out his pack of cigs but how did he put it together?

-he searched every damn where for the ricin, then walt shows up and whaddaya know, it turns up somewhere jesse already looked
-when he's at the pick up point, he realizes that there's been a switch and Huell took something out of his pocket
-he then realizes that this has happened before and how he lost the ricin in the first place

I think? All of that could be completely wrong, but I think it's something like that.

That's the best explanation I can think of. I guess I just don't like things being left up to interpretation

no, that's it. the big thing was huell. he takes the joint from jesse. he could've just left it alone jesse probably never would've put it together that huell lifted it (the ricin cig) the first time.

looking back the only thing that felt overly contrived to me was jesse lighting up in saul's waiting room and office. it was a little out of character at the time. but it was a device that was needed in order to have a reason for huell to try to lift it and hence connect the whole ricin incident with brock.

No doubt. I also laughed when Walt kicked the glass door in at Saul's office. It was the perfect way to describe what a maniac he had become

As long as we're asking random questions, why do people hate the "fly" episode? I've seen several people say it in various threads but never saw an explanation. I enjoyed it

Only noobs watch a series as it airs from pilot on. My time is too valuable to start a show on pilot. I marathon'd BB back in June/July to get caught up for the last 8 episodes.
