That argument isn't legit.

If I rob a bank and the only thing that connects me to it is my face on the surveillance camera, am I not guilty in a court of law due to me not being able to confront the camera?

Innocent until proven guilty.

The burden of proof isn't on the the defense

What about that don't you understand?

What are you spouting off? I am only going against the confronting a camera thing.

Answer my original question.

I got one the other day for making a legal right turn on red.

I'm going to send it back with a note explaining - you can clearly see my brake lights on in one of the photos. If they accept it, fine. If not, then frick 'em, it goes in the circular file.

This just happened to my brother in NOLA. He went and showed in the pictures that his turn light was on and he stopped before the turn. It was dropped. I don't know what would have happened if he didn't use his blinker.

They should do what the CCC used to do. If you didn't pay the ticket, or disput it and win, your vehicle would be flagged. When the vehicle was sold and the new owner would go to register it, they couldn't until the tickets were paid. I know of a few instances where this happened. People traded there car in at a dealership. The dealership couldn't do anything with it. The people would act like they have no clue what it was about, but would promptly pay the tickets.

People will have different opinions on if these cameras are right or not. The fact is, it doesn't matter if the are 100% legit or not, people will try to get out of it one way or another.

So responsible people that know they broke the law and pay their fine are retarded? If this is the case, everyone not trying to get what they can for free is retarded.

Recognizing red light cameras is one of the many things I love about my radar detector.

If it's about safety, why not put them at every intersection?

The cameras don't catch the most dangerous red light runners - people who plow through the intersection well after the light turns red.

The light when you exit onto Dalrymple Drive off 10 were definitely instant when I was there.

My guess is that most people who think it's just terrible, un-American, etc. that a red-light camera ticket is decriminalized (civil, with no jail) and "how the frick can they make a crime into civil, I thought that was just people suing each other?"...

think it's just outstanding that possession of marijuana in several jurisdictions has been decriminalized (made into a civil offense).

Other traffic laws that carry a civil penalty include parking tickets.

By the way, you do not have the Constitutional right to face your accuser in a civil matter.
