Warning B/R (Actual Lead SEC Writer on Staff)

quote:

He leads the nation in receptions of 10 or more yards with 25—a whopping 73.5 percent of his receptions. He's also a major weapon in critical downs. He leads the SEC in third-down catches with 13 and yards with 269.

quote:

But it isn't just the numbers that makes Landry so impressive, it's the fact that he's doing it with a teammate—fellow junior Odell Beckham, Jr.—also having a stellar season. Beckham is fourth in the SEC with 507 receiving yards, one spot behind Landry.

All of this while playing in a pro-style offense that is still predicated on establishing the run behind LSU's seemingly endless stable of running backs.

Just how good is Landry? B/R's own Matt Miller projects him as a possible first-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft if he decides to come out.

"He's shown the concentration to track the ball on deep routes and fight through traffic for the ball underneath," Miller wrote in his Week 5 stock report. "Landry has speed and toughness, making him an A.J. Green-style dual-threat receiver.".

Right now I see 2nd round but he could definitely be first round if they are looking for more physicality and sure hands in their players on the most critical of downs.

He's durable, never missed a game or longer than a few plays do to being shaken up. Excellent blocker and snatches the ball out the air. He's also elusive if you guys have seen him break a few ankles this year to get more yardage. Body control and being absolutely fearless are major factors that could make him a top 3 WR taken.

If Juice can't make a claim, there isn't anyone in CFB that can IMO.

I want to see Juice as a slot receiver in a high powered offense like the Saints, Broncos or Pats.

I just hope he doesn't get stuck in Jacksonville or Oakland where promising careers go to die (a la Justin Blackmon).

That said, I could see Belichick going after him for his glue-like hands, especially since Amendola is a gigantic pussy that is apparently made of glass.

Look I think Jarvis is awesome, but this is not a good comparison.

I love Landry. I think he's the best overall player on this LSU team. However, he's not AJ Green, which is ok, not many people are. I dont see how in the hell you can even make that claim. AJ Green is 6'4" and they have completely different skill sets. Landry really reminds me of Steve Smith of Carolina. He's got the toughness, speed, attitude, RAC ability, leaping ability, swagger, etc. How can you get paid to write about football and be so far off on your judgement?

If they both hit 1000 yards which I expect, I don't see either of them escaping the first half of the 2nd round.

Landry is tough as nails. That catch between 3 defenders against UGA was just ridiculous.

He also absolutely would have caught the back shoulder throw on 3rd down during the final drive if he hadn't been interfered with. Glad they let them play that day and LSU got away with a few too, but that one was blatant and deserved a call.

Jarvis is a stud. While i wont call him the best WR in the nation because hes not really a #1 WR, hes an awesome #2. Plus, Jordan Matthews and Mike Evans are the best WRs in the nation IMO. But, Jarvis is right up there with them.

Reason I dont think he will be in the 1st is because hes more of a #2 WR. Hes a blend of Anquain Boldin and Victor Cruz and Steve Smith. I see him going in the 2nd round to a really good team, and he makes an impact from day 1. If he goes to a team with a great QB, lookout. He will be a stud. Def will make an impact on special teams too.

His NFL status (whether he's a 1st rounder or not) all depends on his 40.

4.5+ means 2nd-3rd RD.

4.4 anything means 1st rd
