$hit you not! I just got a facebook message from Bayou Adventure that there is a government official not letting people launch from Lake Rd because of the gov't shutdown. Apparently, because the area is a Federal Wildlife Reserve it falls under their area of responsibility.
I cannot stand Obama and this administration. Garbage.

This one is not solely on Obama. This is everyone getting caught in the middle of politicking.

So they closed it but paid to man it to make sure it wouldn't be used?
Gubbermint at its finest.

Well the hang up directly involves the waivers obama signed that allows congressman and unions to opt out of the obamacare mandate.
Sure there is more to it but we would likely have another continuing resolutions act if they would take their own medicine

That's part of it and there's definitely more to it like you said.
It's sabre rattling at its best and both groups I think are waiting to see who the American public will blame. Both Obama and the GOP are playing public relations and posturing.
ETA: I personally don't give a shite about Obamacare and I wish the Republicans would give it up already. They are beating a dead horse. I would use this opportunity to beat on budget deficit and not having a budget plan. Which I understand is what they are getting at with attacking Obamacare, but it's not clear to most people. The message needs to be "President Obama, we want to increase the borrowing limit and pay our debts, but this has got to stop and is unsustainable. We need to work towards a balanced budget". Not "We're not signing this shite until you repeal Obamacare".

obamacare is a joke.
I blame all of it on him and his admin.
They rammed a bill through without debate or consideration from the other party.
The supreme court failed us all as one justice decided to call it a tax even though its author, obama, said it was not.
I believe the media is in tank for obama and that most don't want this terrible legislation.
Not to mention the fact that it really has little to do with health care and more to do with vote buying.

The problem is the debt and obamacare go hand in hand. The reason they want time and extension on obamacare is due to the immediate jump in debt it will cause
Lots of costs in obamacare directly related to passing a feasible budget.

You should care about Obama care, the money to fund it has to come from somewhere, and it's for damn sure not coming from the people who will be signing up.
I wish the government was run soley on voluntary donations, like as a hunter I can put money into wildlife management lands, or state lakes for fishing, and if some tree hugging, hippy, liberal, democrat, can't piss outside, wants to blow all his donations on obamacare or welfare let them. I for one would maybe not feel so angry if my money was being put where I wanted it to go.

No. It will be a chunk of new debt though.
Our debt is so far out of whack, govt shutdown is needed just to wake some people up.
Go look at how much money was pumped into solar panel companies and who the major share holders were. You will quickly learn where our debt is coming from

Obamacare will be expensive, no doubt. And it will add to the government debt, no doubt. But let's be real here...it's a small percentage in regards to the federal budget. The federal outlays in 2013 is budgeted at 3800 Billion Dollars. How much is Obamacare projected to cost per year? 100 billion a year.
The problem is wide spread and systemic that won't be solved with Obamacare. Again, I am all for a balanced budget approach. What I am arguing is that Republicans are framing the wrong argument. It should be "balance the budget" not "repeal Obamacare". To some it may be 'the same thing' but you have to consider public perception. The latter seems 'unsympathetic' whereas the former is sensible and logical.

Elections have consequences

70% of people didnt want obamacare. So one could argue that republicams are trying to send a message to the voting public
Either way. We would have a budget if the senate would sign the clause stating the will use obamacare the same as everyone else. The fact they wont shows how bad of a shite reform policy it is. One that will cost millions of people their jobs
