Let's see, he was saying that the UGA fans celebrated the win in a manner that showed it meant a lot more to them than the loss meant to us. Haven't shite on our team once. Show me where I did. Oh that's right cause you can't. Sorry your wittle tender heart can't take reality. Man up and grow a pair Paula!!

Yeah, not at all the way I intended the OP to be read.

No slam on LSU in my OP. I am just interested in perspectives on how beating LSU is now such a big deal. Guess I am seeing this as positive for the entire school/program. I suspect no difference from UGA or Clemson if they had just beaten Bama.

Seems about right. Both will be top 6 teams and we are 3-2 in our last 5.

Fact. recently LSU has failed to win the big games. Starting to feel more like UGA...

You've been shitting on the program all day, brah...

quote:

And why would you do that if losing ate at you to the highest degree? Does losing hurt Miles enough? We can as fans say the sun will come up tomorrow, I'll play with the kids and all is well. A 4 million dollar a year executive can't an losing any game should eat at him a lot more than it appears..

quote:

Our coaching staff and program are not even close to what he has built. Miles will never win another NC at LSU. That door has closed....

quote:

Great hire indeed. But two years too late, and therein lies the problem. No the door is closed for a while if those predicting 2 or 3 more losses this year are correct. We are out of the national talk unless we go into BAMA with only 1 loss. But it sure is nice seeing an offense like we have now..

quote:

Only diff tween 9-3 and 7-5 is 2nd tier bowl pecking order. Think the days of 11-1, 10-2 are gone for a while???..

And that's just from the last day. The OP was talking about Clemson and UGA fans and their reaction to a win against LSU. You just can't fathom that a win against LSU is a top tier win for 99% of football programs. You turned it into another chance to shite on the program.

Your agenda is obvious.

Pat Forde wrote about it in his column about the game.

Basically said beatin LSU was bigger for UGA fans than beating SCar, which is a team in its own division, and was/is highly ranked

Notice all the ??? Your grammar may be off a bit but that means I am questioning the preceding statement, asking for input. Talking shite about the program would be "wow we suck". Player x, y, z suck. "Miles should be fired today. What in the things you put forward as examples is 100% false or not put in the form of what others are speculating or asking a question?? This is the tiger "Rant", not tiger sunshine pumper or Tiger "only Paula Dean" is correct. It is called inquiry followed by speculative opinion. I shite a lot of monetary support on the program I can guarantee you that. Anxiously awaiting the examples of me "shi--ing on the program" as it is correctly defined.

LOL. You can crawfish all you want. Those are quotes from your own post history. It's all right there. One loss and you've got us getting 4 more and locked out of a NC hunt for the rest of Miles' tenure.

Just reading what you wrote. And I'm not taking it out of context. I was posting in those threads too.

You know what, you and the others are right. We are every bit as good a program as BAMA is currently. I would never, ever trade Sabans 4 and probably 5 NCs for Miles winning percentage in SEC history. That dumb BAMA administration is paying Saban all that money to win Championships when being in the hunt for them would appease the understanding fan base of theirs just as good, if not better!! I'll bet if you anonymously asked every BAMA fan, they would in a heartbeat trade places with us the past 5 years. Coaching clinics should all run through BR cause obviously we have the best coaching staff in college football. Great is obviously overrated. I will from this day forward settle for Good. We have a damn Good program and can't realistically expect to do better cause the SEC office is in Birmingham. Wow, that feels so much better. You guys are right, being second or third best and expecting it is much less stressful. Here's to a good, close hard fought game with the other Bulldogs this weekend. Win it lose, we are Tigers and the best and no one can tell us different.

Bama is the standard. They like to beat LSU because of the arrogant fans.

Our fans are just accepting the chicken bowl these days. Pathetic.

If that were true, we would have had the fans show up for the chicken bowl last year. As it was, the fans pretty much stayed away.

Other teams look at us like we are a real threat to win it all. Our fans turn into negatigers at the drop of a hat.

While I would have loved a win yesterday, I recognize that beating UGA is always a hard thing to do in Athens. The question now is how we respond. Neither you or I can answer; it's up to the players and coaches.

It was an amazing reaction from UGA. Just when I thought Richt was about to say he's going to Disbey World, he started crying instead. Then the players did a stadium lap like they'd never won a home game.

They probably would be too shocked at how many of our fans had left. At halftime.

I remember how cool it was when our players did something similar in the GA Dome after we won the 2001 SECCG.

Yeah it was cool of them, I'm not insulting them. Was just surprising to see them act like it was the Super Bowl. It's UGA winning a home conf game, not Appalacian beating Mich.

You have to understand the typical Georgia fan's psyche to understand why wins over a top ten team bring such elation.

Georgia fans are raised on Larry Munson and Vince Dooley, two of the biggest woe-is-us poor mouthers that ever were associated with college football. They are sacred to every Georgia fan out there. No matter what, Munson and Dooley used to question our ability to win before every single game we played...be it against William & Mary or Alabama. Both did it for drastically different reasons, of course; Munson did it to drum up interest in the radio broadcast, Dooley to inspire some kind of focus in the team...but for the fans, it just came out as pessimism.

Georgia fans heard that sort of thing year after year after year to the point where it became a part of a Georgia fan's mentality. There's a pessimism that's a part of every single Georgia fan. If there's not something wrong with our team, we'll make something up just so we can complain about it. We'll elevate every opponent to juggernaut level just so we can worry amongst ourselves the week leading up to the game. When we do find ourselves facing a solid, top ten program like LSU or Bama (or any other top ten program we face), well, the worry and pessimism levels go through the roof.

That's why, I think, Georgia fans treat wins like this as if they involved some sort of championship. When we've convinced ourselves the entire week leading up to the game that we can't win, when we do, it just feels that much larger.

The funny thing about all of this, though, is that when we lose, most of us Georgia fans will immediately discredit all of our pessimism and find no valid reason for losing whatsoever.
