A friend put this together on another forum, and I thought it was cool and wanted to post it here (especially as the generation is winding down). The real takeaway is that every console had great exclusives, and you'd find something to play on every platform.

Only flaw in the comparison I see is the lack of Kinect/Move titles, but he had his reasons.

"Exclusives" Defined as not appearing on the other two consoles (this include HD remakes, PC versions, etc).

Exclusives where the game is only found on that platform (Not available on Handheld, PC, HD remakes, etc).

everyone was happy just being best friends, sharing GTA experiences, and getting along just fine. we've only had this topic come up about 7k times in 10 years.

Overall I think you have to go PS3 or Wii. That said, the 360 clearly had the better the games after 3-4 years. Looking at the 360's exclusive list is kind of depressing now. Basically just Gears, Halo and Forza.

Are there any Kinect/Move titles that would even make the list?

Xbox by far. Nothing special about fricking uncharted, last of us, and little big planet unless you like men that is.

I really like the compiled info from the lists and the metacritic scores, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to be taking away from the graphs.

I own all 3 of these systems and this just confirms how I've felt about them. I recently told a friend, who's a huge Nintendo fan, that I think Sony has just slightly replaced Nintendo in the realm of must have exclusives.

However, as Nintendo has sometimes proven, having a bunch of established IP's can also lead to a development rut. I hope that doesn't happen with Sony. I'm afraid it already might be. Rumors of Uncharted 4 and God of War 4 do not excite me, as good as I think those franchises have been in the past. It'll be interesting to see what exclusives Microsoft comes up with for the Xbox One since they'll probably be establishing several new IP's this coming generation.

Thanks for posting this. It's cool seeing this data visually.

That's really not a fair comparison seeing as how most big Xbox games get a PC version since Microsoft is Microsoft.
