The slide rule has been around for a couple decades now.

All the people saying the pace allowed WAS back in are full of shite.

The Eagles D wasn't tired because of the Eagles O. They were barely on the field in the first half, so there goes that theory.

The Eagles let up big time on the gas pedal in the 2nd half and actually milked the game clock. I think that's what allowed WAS back in the game more so than anything else. Plus, RGIII found his groove and exposed a weak Eagles Defense.

When is the last time Brady, Manning, or Brees had designed running plays called for them? If the quarterback is going to be running the football, then the defense has to be allowed to hit him. You tell the defense they have to pull up and not touch the quarterback, and then he tucks the ball and runs for a 15 yard gain and you've just created an unfair advantage for the offense.

vick MAYBE had 2 designed run plays called last night.

The "zone read" was really going to be a handoff regardless on most of those plays.

You can say this for any offense in the league that's successful.

Thanks Captain Obvious. My point was that Chip Kelly landed in a good spot. His offense probably wouldnt work most other places. But in Philly it could be really good. Probably depends on the health of Vick and Mccoy.

A lot of people are going to be wrong about Kelly being a failure in the NFL.

Sucks, my dream of him at LSU may never happen.

their offense looked like they need Vick healthy; however, the offense does nothing to ensure he will be

Really?

That's how long I've hated it. With the advent of qbs that are bigger and faster than the DBs (Cam, Kapernick, etc.) I hate it more.

Well, they will have to draft another mobile/spread QB to replace him in 1-2 years.

As far as the offense hurting him, Vick has gotten hurt in every other offense he's been in. It's because he holds on to the ball to long and doesn't go out of bounds when he scrambles.

90% of the hits he took last night is because Kelly's play called for him to take 2 steps and fire the ball out and Vick held onto it. Plus, the Eagles Oline is poo.

in order for that offense to work there has to at least be a threat of the QB keeping it

Re-watch the game. Even Kelly said in his postgame presser he took the foot off the gas.

the skins D started making stops

the skins where the test dummies for the rest of the league

they definitely slowed the pace down in the 2nd half and took less chances... even had a delay of game penalty or two.

That offense without pace is obviously a lot less effective.

They looked great early on. But the quick tempo wore down their OL as much as it did the defense. Once the OL gets used to that style of play, they could be a sight to behold. Chip Kelly's offense could very well stick.

this. i see all over social media people are saying that the eagles offense ran out of gas in the 2nd half as their style is not sustainable in an nfl game. total bullshite. the eagles were up 4 possessions, kelly went to a slower tempo and ran the play clock down on almost every play. they stopped throwing downfield as well.

Michael Vick was spotted "hobbling" following Monday night's win over the Redskins. Vick was not hurt, but he certainly got banged up. He was really slow to get up following a 36-yard scramble in the second half and appeared to tweak a groin muscle. He also took a lot of shots on his shoulders throughout the night as sliding is simply not in his repertoire. Vick will be fine for Chip Kelly's home debut against the Chargers in Week 2, but it's disappointing he's already limping around. The fantasy sleeper turned gold has missed 13 games over the last three years.
