i'd love to see them try to tackle Fournette
I'd love to see it too! Not taking anything from LF, but that's a mission I think our boys could accomplish! Simply because they would have no fear of him! His name would mean absolutely nothing to them! As far as they would be concerned he would just be another player on the field, and can get his arse knocked off just like any other player on the field!

They get to tackle an LSU commitment running behind another LSU commitment every day at practice, so it's not like they don't ever see talent. My son said the toughest chore to tackle he's faced so far (other than Nick) was when we played Jeryl Brazil last year. I realize LF is the real deal, but those guys aren't too shabby themselves.

The talent is first class and made up of serious prospects. It is sort of like the basketball program when Garrett Temple and Glen Davis played. Everyone on that team could play.

Stomped out Southern Lab 56-14. Not much of a game. SU Lab has a lot of young players, but I could tell by their attitudes on the field they have discipline issues on their team.

I wish i didnt live in NWLA so i could watch these South LA teams on tv because we dont get them up here! Only powerhouse teams we have up here is Evangel and West Monroe! Well those two are the only school really known on a national scale up here but they are both having kind of a down year i think. I know WM is but im not sure about Evangel. I appreciate yall keeping us northern LA people updated on the bruisers down south!

Sorry for posting this posting a day late and don't know if you'll see this but you catch some highlights of Baton Rouge and surrounding area teams on WAFB's Sportsline OT on their website and on iTunes video podcast. About 30 minutes of coverage.

Thanks for the links. Our coverage on the 10:30 local highlight shows has been really limited with the back to back lightning delays.

wildman, they clearly had some athletes, but I agree with them lacking some discipline. Our staff obviously saw something on film with those first couple of playcalls catching them going the wrong direction. I like that we aren't putting a ton of miles on Nick. Starting with passes gets the defense a little winded, then POW, we hit them with a couple quick hitters between the tackles and he's gone. Didn't like seeing our skill players dropping like flies-hopefully nothing serious with any of them. Depth is my only worry this season.
