It wasn't coached, but the coach signaled to the player when to dive? Lol

Faking injuries was part of the Bears’ gameplan to slow fast-paced offenses in recent years, former linebacker Brian Urlacher said Tuesday.
Urlacher said a Bears coach would simulate a swimmers’ diving motion with his arms from the sideline and the player “would get hurt.”He said it was beneficial on long drives or early in the season when defenders were more easily gassed.
He said he wouldn’t name the coach who pantomimed in the order.
Curiously, he also said the Bears weren’t coached to fake injuries, per se.
“It wasn’t coached,” he said, “but it was part of our game plan.”

Pfft?
This was coming. With all of the offenses running no huddle and not allowing substitutions defenses were going to find ways to "adapt."

I know someone on the Cajuns that was this guy in Hud's first year.
He was part of the special teams unit.

Uhhhh, so does LSU. And so does every team in college and NFL.

Cmon urlacher. Loved the dude playing the game, and everybody knows its done. A few teams like the giants are blatant as hell about it. But have a little more respect for the game than to walk away and try to make news with bullshite like this. just take the money and walk away

I have absolutely no problem with this.

Bears are thug POS
In seriousness though,I assume all the people who are saying they have no problem with this also have no problem when players dive in soccer, or flop in basketball?

I am not surprised nor do I really care. With the way the rules are set up the defenses have to do something

every team does this, big deal

If there's a way to level the playing field, without breaking the rules, it's fair game to me. Lol to supporters of nh getting pissed about it.

Why don't players just have their helmets accidentally fall off their head?

You'd think they could come up with a signal a little less conspicuous than a swimmer's diving motion.
