Runningback Degression

It might just be me, but it seems every one of our runningbacks decrease in performance through their college careers. For a couple examples, first Spencer Ware was doing well in his earlier years at LSU. The following season, he seemed to just run with his head down and run right into defensive players. He seemed to loose the ability to maneuver through the D.
Ware was then replaced by the freshman Hillard. He was performing very well his first year. Last year, he seemed to do the same thing as Ware did previously. He just runs into closed holes, as if he will somehow run over 300lbs D-linemen. This is where Hill took his place as starting RB, since Hillard couldn't get it done like the previous year. Hill was able to run with his head up, paying attention to holes opening and closing.
My fear is that Hill will follow the same digression as Ware and Hillard did, when he finally is allowed to play.
Am I just on my own planet or has anyone else noticed this? I'm wondering if this is due to improper coaching or something else.
Edit: should clarify that I am referring to players after 2010 season

since 2003, most of our running backs were most effective as freshmen.

I have. The best year for every back has been their freshman since Stevan Ridley. Last year, Blue would likely have had a great year and help break the trend had he stayed healthy.

Our running backs are getting off-topic in the middle of conversation? Or did you mean to say "regression" instead?

like Ridley? Addai? Hester?
nothing to do with the gaping oline holes we had in 2011 compared to 2012? By the way, hilliard actually averaged more YPC in 2012

This word...I do not think it means what you think it means.

Our running game is good: "Out QBs suck...we can't throw the ball downfield"
We throw the ball downfield: "Our running backs are digressing"
Jesus christ

Ignore thoses replies that called you dumb as they are just being smartazz or too dumb themselves to notice the obvious issue. Ever since Ridley, our RBs all tend to be most productive during their first year, and then just become average and inevitably get passed by younger backs. Strictly speaking, that applies to Ridley as well as he only had a one-year production at LSU and then went pro. Ware, Hilliard, Ford all regressed somehow after their spectacular showcase as a freshman. That being said, I don't believe the regression should be attributed to bad coaching. Instead, I think it's just a lack of effort and focus, and being complacent after successes come so easily, while in the meantime the younger guys have more hunger and motivation to prove themselves. We will see if Hill can break the trend after he makes it back on the field but you are definitely not the only one who notices this.

It might just be me, but it seems every one of your posts decreases in intelligence after the 5th one. Am I just on my own planet or has anyone else noticed this?

Ware's production was basically the same from 2011 to 2012, except that his # of carries dropped (b/c we had a better running back). His receiving greatly improved. We also had a better oline in 2011.
Hilliard's YPC went up from 2011 to 2012
Ford's YPC dropped from 2011 to 2012 from 6 ypc to 5.5 ypc. He received less touches.
not really seeing it
