I mean... 2003 wasn't that long ago.

Right, but that was the edge of new generations for both schools. New coaches and somewhat new styles. I feel like rivals are a generational thing, and the storyline has played out where Bama slipped into their place. I'll give Bama another five to ten years before someone else can piss off the collective fan base more than anyone else.

It's hard to hate on a school that you always beat. Recently we've been markedly better than Ole Miss. But Bama... yeah... there's no game in the year that I want to see more than that. Their losses are nearly as sweet as LSU victories to me.

Understood. I may be biased. I see Ole Miss as a win almost every time.

I see Bama as, well, hopefully a couple concussions and broken ankles before we spank them.

really? I must have slept late this morning. I don't think Bama or LSU are on the decline.

Right now Bama just bc of the implications of the game the last 3 years, but give the A&M game 5 yrs and I think it will develop into a full blown major rivalry between the two. It has all the makings for it to become one imo.

Texas A&M. The other programs mentioned consider other schools to be their primary rival - you can't have a Teo rival. Texas A&M no longer plays Texas, so we are now their most hated. We are also about to start playing each other the final game of the year, as is common for a rivalry game.

You may see it that way, but it's not.

2002 W 14-13
2003 W 17-14
2004 W 27-24
2005 W 40-7
2006 W 23-20 (OT)
2007 W 41-24
2008 L 31-13
2009 L 25-23
2010 W 43-36
2011 W 52-3
2012 W 41-35

Out of the last 11 games, all but 4 have been decided by a TD or less. The overall record is 58-39-4. And the last decade has made that more lopsided that it was traditionally.

I hate Ole Miss. I hate everything about Ole Miss. They can Geaux to Hell. Their tent city in the Grove can Geaux to Hell too. Maybe they can hang their 2003 Co-SEC West Champs banner in Hell, too.

My sentiments exactly!

Alabama-

This is not a question for me. I think Ole Miss and Florida are also very worthy of the rival distinction. I also think Auburn was for a time... But right now it's Bama.. Our former coach, the obsession with ESPN and Bama seems to add to Tiger fans hatred. The games over the recent years will go down as some of the most recognized in Tiger history.
The interception that wasn't
The sack of JPW and subsequent fumble which sealed it
9-6
The disaster in the natty
When we brought down the goalposts after breaking the streak!!!!
Last year and the drive..

This is growing into not only a rivalry game for us but one of the most anticipated games in the country

How r they not the logical answer?
