doesn't matter. You said evidently more people like Superman Returns and I proved MoS was more popular. Box Office isn't always right, but combine that with the sequal and the universal hate Returns received by the fans it's safe to say MoS is the better received film.

A "better" film is purely subjective.

MoS captured the core of Superman, Returns was flat and unoriginal.

I would venture to say that more people like Elvis than the Black Eyes Peas, yet The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” is more popular than any Elvis song.

If it was universally hated, then why the better critical reception? Are you using the TV/Movie board as the sample size?

If Man of Steel captured the core of Superman so well, then why does the film carry so much controversy and debate regarding decisions that Superman makes throughout the film. Why does Clark do so many un-Superman like things if it captures the very core of what Superman is.
