The deal is non-guaranteed for the upcoming season, with a team option for a second season. Which means that Onuaku will have to earn his spot on the roster beginning in training camp at the end of September.

Onuaku is a bruising, 6’9 275-pound forward who showed a nice touch around the basket and a nose for the ball while cleaning the glass for the Suns during Summer League in Las Vegas. He averaged 6.9 points and 6.4 rebounds in seven appearances there, while playing 17.3 minutes per contest.

Onuaku was likely to receive a training camp invite from the Suns, but that would have been non-guaranteed as well, and he would have been a long shot to make the Phoenix roster given the duplication at his position

Sounds like a camp body, although this team needs a bruiser type and has a free roster spot with Pierre in France.

Source: For the past 2 days, the Pelicans have worked out Reyshawn Terry, Josh Powell and Josh Childress. Pelicans have 2 roster spots open.

The 2 roster spots open part isn't true with Onuaku and Lance Thomas signing, but I think many teams head into training camp with 16-17 guys.

I just skimmed a few youtube videos and only got his first name Ah-rin-zay

I'm guessing the last name is pronounced Oh-noo-ah-koo

And to Jim Boheim for calling him AO

I think this will be my go-to as well

Of course I have the feeling his name won't be mentioned too often during the season so it won't be too much of an issue
