I enjoyed it. It's not for everybody that's for sure.

I watched it last night actually. It's not terrible, per se, just not for everybody. I wouldn't watch it again, but glad I saw it kind of movie. Not really long. Has a deep, symbolic, post-katrina survival/inspirational message. Honestly, I remember this movie getting a lot of attention at the Academy Awards and didn't want to watch it because I thought it took place in Africa.

It was okay, but not what I was expecting.

The little girl's performance was better than the movie

It's one of those, "If you don't like it, you're not hip or enlightened enough" kinda deals.

Though I went into it thinking I was going to be disappointed based on the subject matter, I ended up thinking it was a solid movie. Looking forward to seeing what that director does next.

The two main characters were locals from Houma( I think) LA. They had no prior acting experience. They did a great job. Solid movie.

I liked it, thought they did a good job with the character development of the dad and the relationship between him and the little girl was oddly heartwarming(sort of)

You do have to admire some of the acting by rookies. Too many different messages trying to be thrown at you at one time. Story got really silly/retarded at times. The beasts were terrible. Wouldn't watch again, but glad I watched once.

The pacing is awful. Seriously, it is just awful.

Oh, and they made an alligator gar bomb. Stupid.

I watched it at the Acadiana center for the arts....in that setting I liked it.

I imagine watching on your sofa wouldn't be great. It needs the artsy back drop.
