Just saw via Pro Football Talk the Redskins parted ways w/ him. Do they bring him in again since he knows the offense and that #3 spot? Or are they satisfied w/ Stills as a rookie?

he doesn't have anything left IMO and we have too many young receivers fighting for too few spots.

He needs to retire a saint though

He was almost invisible last year. We know him better than anyone. There's a reason we moved on.

I think he might just be done. I love DH but his best days are behind him

I love Devery and wouldn't be mad if he made the roster. But after his injury last year, I think he needs to retire for his sake.

Nothing left to prove Devery. Come sign with the Saints, retire and move on to some other aspect of the team.

I got love for all the former Tigers in the league, but as Saban said, "It's time..to move..on".

Time for DH to accept a wide receivers coaching position up the road in Baton Rouge.

The Redskins site had this to say,

LINK

quote:

He has been absent from camp since Monday, Aug. 5, and head coach Mike Shanahan told the media that he has been dealing with a death in his immediate family.

quote:

Henderson did not appear in the first preseason game against the Tennessee Titans

quote:

The deadline for roster cuts to 75 players does not occur for another 10 days

Seems odd that they would cut him way before that deadline, Devery might have told them he would out for a while with personal stuff so that's why they let him go

Devery dates the field foreman's daughter I work for offshore. I texted the foreman this morning asking if he heard about Devery's released & he told me that Devery & his daughter knew of the release from the Redskins last night. My foreman just texted me saying Devery is on his way to San Diego right now to take a physical for the Chargers. The Chargers have been bitten hard by the injury bug at receiver.
