closing the door early to the media: LSU practices

Considering the increasing frequency of bullshite , hack journalism surrounding the Tiger program and the intent on inflicting damage to its reputation, it is no surprise whatsoever that Les has decided to slide the curtain earlier.
I am not surprised by the initial backlash articles, but when the beat writers initiate an obvious witch hunt, game the frick over.
Objective journalism is gold, but when objective POVs become blatant opinion columns with no other motive than to discredit a program, yank the press pass.
Rant over.

The media and this board often confuse negativity and objectivity.

Uh, that's always been the case with journalists trying to make their name
Seems like Miles is super sensitive over the backlash from his players voted mantra

Kleinpeter and Guilbeau have no excuse to creepily hit on 20 year old girls in walkons that would never touch them anymore

Is it closed for the rest of fall camp? If not, it should be. I wouldn't blame Miles one bit.
I would start Hill in the first snap of the game, then pull him out the rest of the game just to piss the media off.

if I was head coach and its no rules against it, I would never give other coaches more video footage to watch than I had too

I agree with Miles closing practice. The negative waves are rediculous!

Having been a member of the media locally and in other larger markets in the past I have to say the direction that sports journalism has gone is disheartening.
I have zero issue with criticism of LSU and its athletic programs. But I was taught that objectivity and laying the facts out were the first priority. It seems like with the proliferation of the ESPN type social media reporting that the majority of reporters are more interested in being the first to say something or making a stink just to get people to pay attention.
Maybe it's more of a reflection of what sports fans want than I acknowledge but from my view its a pretty foul situation all around.
But then again, I'm not willing to be that type of editor/manager/reporter and that could be a reason I can't get a job after 15 years if doing it for a living.
