It's been a saga with those brews. Peg's released 3 varieties last month called Rare, RareR and Nooner. The bottles are all similar 500ml growlers.

The Rare(the one you saw yesterday) was infected and as you know was a mess. When I got home I cracked a RareR and it was funky too. I talked to the brewmaster last night and he said some were bad but they'll make it right. I decided to pull them all from the cellar and start opening them over the next week.

This bottle of RareR was perfect. Strange, as the one yesterday was awful and they literally came out of the same case. So thus far 50% of the bottles have been bad...

Man that is wild how much a range of difference there is in the quality of the bottles. Like we talked about, I'm sure the folks over there will make it right, and probably go beyond that. Wish I could have tried that, but I'll be sure and try and hit it next time.

?BD (14 maybe?) / Smuttynose IPA w/ dinner

?BD / dessert + Shark Week

fly out at 655a tomorrow. gonna have to keep drinking beers to be able to get to sleep I think.

How's the food at avenue pub? Headed down in a couple weeks for my wife's bday and we're thinking of hitting up the pub for lunch before checking into the hotel.... My wife doesn't like beer, but she seemed like like some of the menu items. I know it's not a restaurant first but as long as its decent I can have a few beers with lunch

Last BD - finishing off a growler of Revolver Blood & Honey - today's lineup included DR 12 & 13, Real Ale Black Quad, homebrew saison, Revolver Blood & Honey, and gorged myself on some delicious seafood pasta that a friends wife brought over. Not feeling work tomorrow

It's not a place to make a lunch spot. Decent food if you're there late night or in the middle of the afternoon and want/need a bite. Go somewhere else for a planned meal though.

Not bad. Nothing ground breaking, but the food does the job, especially for lunch. If you feel like ruining the rest of your day, go for the dump truck fries. Your tongue will love you as your stomach curses you.

It's not bad. They've made strides of late. If you're ordering a burger it will probably be slightly overcooked, but not to a ridiculous degree.

This, unless you're hungover. If you are it's like a panacea.

well Ave Pub definitely ain't light brother. I would hit up Peche for lunch, personally .. they have apps, small plates, light fare and it's really really good. they have a couple decent beers on tap if you want to cool down with a brew after walking 'round CBD. you can always do Ave Pub for a beer or two in between meals.

nothing wrong with that idea. if you're looking to go the sandwich route then Milk Bar, Tartine or Wayfare are places to look into.

That's kinda what we were thinking... Something somewhat inexpensive but good... Thanks for the suggestions
