Fricking this! I get really tired of people viewing Saban as this infallible football genius. His NC teams, while very, very good, have all had some insane amount of luck that has nothing to do with coaching.
LSU under Les has been tit for tat with Alabama since 2007. The difference, IMO, has come down to luck and scheduling (save 1/9/12).

Don't ever forget that folks. This little benign comment, kind of made in passing, is very true. When Saban won one at LSU, we needed a computer to get us past USC. When Miles won, a chit ton needed to happen right. Saban needed a media push to get a mulligan. Several teams had Auburn beat when they won.
