disagree, majora's mask was solid but basically just a new story on the OoT engine.

Majora's Mask could be a damn solid film.

OoT would be a Trilogy.

That is how I view the 2. I feel even more so today how different the 2 games are. Saying this, Majora's Mask used a totally different mechanic to drive the story in that game. They could have copied the success from OoT to make a 2nd N64 game but went in a totally different direction.

They should be treated as 2 separate games not MM just following the format of OoT.

Agree. It's storyline is by far the best I've ever played through. The next best thing would be Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 (Not including other Zelda titles).

I liked Majora's Mask and I like how in depth they made every single character in the game. It's probably 3rd or 4th on my favorite Zelda list though. WindWaker is 2nd on my list.

There's a lot of people that think Majora's Mask is the best Zelda game.

I can't say which is better. They were both better than the others.

IMO, MM has the best replayability.

The story is incredibly unique, as is the world.

Yes, the graphics are not better than OoT, but, IMO, everything else was an upgrade.

The masks added a whole new element to the game that just takes it to new heights. Being able to play as a Zora, Deku, and Goron was a great idea.

I will say that OoT does have the hardest temple (the Water Temple), but the Stone Tower Temple in MM is a close 2nd.

To each their own though.

Actually LTTP or MM w/ OoT right up there. It is a damn toss up TBH, each game discussed in anyone's Top 5 brought something unique to the player that they connected with during that time in life.

WHAT YOU MEAN NOT BETTER. WE HAD TO PURCHASE AN EXPANSION SLOT TO PLAY MAJORA'S MASK!!!

Joking.. wtf did that expansion slot that was "needed" to fully experience the game for anyway?

Majora's Mask was my birthday present that my Dad promised to buy when it was available for sale. He thought it was going to be a $60 pop that turned into like $120 because we "HAD" to purchase the expansion slot. What bullshite.... lol

ETA: But it did make the game graphically better than OoT.

Remember the scene with the Skull Kid sitting alone by the tree during the Moon stage? One of the more graphically intense scenes across the whole N64 platform.

LTTP is what got me hooked on Zelda so I will that one is the best of all time. I think I have played through that game 20 times now.

I enjoyed Twilight Princess more than MM, but just barely. Very close 2nd. OoT is obviously the best.
