I wore slacks, white buttonup and black blazer (no tie) to Bistro Daisy couple weeks ago and was certainly one of if not the most dressed up in there. there were two older gentlemen eating together who were dressed similarly, and there was also a guy in his 20s there in cargo shorts and a t-shirt. I guess most restaurants here just don't care all that much.

That's exactly what I find. It saddens me that the art of dressing nicely for dinner seems to be a thing of the past. When you're in a nice restaurant spending $100+ for 2 people, seeing someone sitting at the next table wearing cargo shorts, a t-shirt and crocs cheapens the experience.

Yeah Rohan, but your slacks were tattered, and your blazer sleeves were rolled like you were in an old John Cusack movie.....

Frickin Hipster!
Finally. R2R. IRL
ETA: It doesn't bother me much either. I find constant vulgarity and general obnoxiousness as being my pet peeves.

At Bistro Daisy? That's odd, wouldn't think the cargos and crocks crowd would be there. 99% of the time it seems like people are dresses appropriately at the more upscale NO restaurants outside of the quarter.
