People that talk about the kick apparently have never shot a 30-06 - much less a 300 win mag.

The thing is it has a steel buttplate and a very shot LOP. That combo will punch you good if you don't hold it properly.

I picked up one and the 440 round ammo tin and extras for $180. The pig sticker can also be used for opening the ammo can. It shoots just fine, but the beauty of the gun is its simplicity. All of the 'technology' is in the bolt. A friend of mine has the carbine, and while it seems to kick a little arder, anyone who shoots a 12 ga. won't have any problems with any of these rifles.



And BTW, OP, you've got the bayonette on upside down. You need to rotate it to clear the front sight.

I realized that when I went to pull it off but I didn't feel like putting it back on, taking another pic and loading it with the others. I actually thought someone would have caught that sooner.

This. I thought the Mosin was going to be tough, but it's much easier to handle than my M1 Garand.
