I was thinking about doing that with the Pale ale we're brewing this weekend. Everything the same until the last 15 minutes then transfer half to different kettle and using different flameout hops and dry hops but decided against it this time.

I came to the same decision about an APA I'm brewing next week.
I may split and use different yeasts soon, but I don't think I want to deal with two boils going at the same time.
