He was a great guy. Met him on a hunting trip to Nebraska this past season. Like Earthmover said, he loved to drive that boat fast. He has gone 102mph in it before. I know he was running it hard when this happened.

Was it this one, or his last one he was running that fast? I'm just curious why he changed the prop. Buddy said there was a monster gator right there, the kind that doesn't go down when he sees you. Maybe he tried to avoid it. Just not a lot of room for error at that speed. I went 98 in an Allison once for a tourney, never again.

Gets me as no one wears a life vest, I have lost four friends or folks I have know because no life vest?? One a guy and his wife on Ray Roberts Lake in Texas in a new champion with a 225 flipped and chunked both out and drowned. He was in the boat business for 20 years?? Friend of mine down the street puts around in an antique fiftys boat with his kid and wife no life vests except the ones stuffed under the front deck,,crazy man.
