We really didn't look threatening until the final minute of the half and then not until ox came on, who was our best player by far today with only 15 minutes on the pitch.

Ugly game to watch. Ox needed to start, but hindsight, and such.
Giroud has gotten worse and worse as the season has gone on. We can't win a title with him as our CF. Teams are just muscling him now and even his back to goal play is regressing.
Sanogo is promising but not ready.
Lord, we need a world class CF. I know there aren't many, but jeez.

Yeah sanogo missed prob our best chance. But I can't blame giroud. Again, crosses coming in and its giroud and 6 stoke players in the box. That shite ain't gonna cut it.

I'm not blaming him. We had no creativity behind him either.
But he played poorly and has been poorer toward the back end of the season (minus his brace the other day, which really wasn't a spectacular one).
Just venting.

Why do we resort to this shite? Why do we play Stoke ball?

again, poldi shouldn't start. that said, he could have made it worth it if santi had teed him up at the end of the first half. probably a goal there.
we didn't play well. was pretty shocked ozil and ox didn't start. it seemed like (though I'm sure it wasn't the case) that AW overestimated the correlation between the win last week and the XI he had chosen.
really frustrating they got away with a couple of stamps, and studs to the thigh on a contested header, and we get penalized harshly. you could say his hand was in an unnatural position but you couldn't convince me that was deliberate. freak bounce right into a raised arm at the edge of the box and they get all three points. adam should've been off once and couldn've been off or booked earlier and the ref punished neither action. then the crazy stamp on giroud where he was fouled twice and the foul called on him.
frick, I hate stoke.
yeah, giroud, and arguably per and arteta, are holding us back tactically. we need to upgrade.
pretty interesting quotes from JW Henry, particularly on the suarez buyout.

TLDR we could have had Suarez for 40m. All we had to do was sue, since we had met his buyout clause.

Yeah I was against Suarez cus his antics, but its obvious we need someone of his caliber. But they didn't beat us in the FA cup and he couldn't really get one off against us. So really I don't think that perfect striker really exists. You go from bergkamp to henry and no forward will be good enough. Even rvp at his best wasn't as good as those 2.
I was all for rosicky starting but without ozil giroud is left alone. Something has to be done. They weren't really a threat either, fricking push forward.

so has anybody considered the worst case scenario here of Arsene being out of contract in 3 months? wait, what am i saying, we're all arsenal fans so of course we've considered it.
lots of huge matches coming up with big time implications for our club's future.

I'm of the opinion that it will take a miracle to win the title now. We need someone to step up, but no one looks likely. I think we will struggle until Ramsey comes back.
The need to buy this summer becomes extremely important. We need to buy an excellent DM who at the very least is mobile and can pass the ball out of the back. We're losing Sagna so we need to buy an experienced RB. We honestly need 3 or 4 players at the minimum. Ideally we need 5 or 6. I hope Wenger stays and I hope we spend.

not a good sign at all imo for sagna or wenger that they weren't in the extensions announced today (per and tomas). has me worried. while i'm not going to act like AW has been perfect, i'd rather not see what things are like without him.
i think 3-7 sounds right. i mean, it's pretty clear we're gonna lose sagna and tv5, minimally, this summer. flamini only has one more year on his deal. poldi is probably not going to stay more than one more year. we *have to* sign at least 4 guys (RB, CB, DM, striker).

I really want Wenger to stay for a couple more years. It would be a shame for him to keep this team afloat by himself for a decade only for him to leave when we finally have money to spend. It wouldn't make any sense at all. And the league would be worse for it.

Rambo is signing a five year extension. 100k/wk. he's also back in training :D

Yeah i dont want to know what this team looks like without Wenger, actually we would struggle because we arent as deep as other teams, yet Wenger really does get the most out of some of these guys that arent super stars. Even though we didnt beat manu, they may miss out on the cl, without wenger we could have been in deep dog shite the last couple of seasons. Now if it is Arsene that is holding us back on purchasing player, I still think his hands were tied, then we just need a coach that will bring in top players. But if we dont, we need a coach that can coach, and that is Wenger.

Nah. Only parties to a contract can sue. Luis is the only person who can sue, and he chose not to.
It's also worth mentioning that John Henry likely misspoke. The PFA and several lawyers tested the clause, and deemed it nonexistant for whatever reason.
Regardless, he does have a point about contracts in world football. If the players aren't expected to hold up their end of the deal, why should the clubs?

Lulz. Suarez has scored 47 goals between this season and last. During Henry's best 2-season stretch in the league he scored 55 times. Suarez also still has 10 matches to play this season.
Not knocking Henry at all - he's an absolute legend. But Suarez is damn close to a perfect forward.
