Having a problem with deer nailing my dove fields. Any OB recommendations for keeping them out? Soap on strings in trees? Other?

The bastards are killing my sunflowers.

Have all local barber shops collect the hair they cut. Spread the hair around the edges of the field

Tie a heavy test fishing line around it. I've heard it works. Freaks deer out because the can't see it.

How big are dove fields? FIL uses hotwire and dad uses a portable radio on talk channel in their pea patch.

Tie my brother-in-law up in your field. Deer are allergic to that bastad.

Some good suggestions. This section of the field is about 1 acre. Has anyone ever shot doves using a Judge?

We are debating trying the flowers again with some combo of ideas for protection or just cutting our losses and going back with brown top millet.

Damn deer.
