Food trucks arent big here in the big city of elic. We did get one a couple weeks back and it stays parked on the side of coliseum drive about 1/2 mile from walmart. I like to patronize small business so i gave them a shot. They have a good little menu (mediteranean) with burgers and some fried seafood. I had the gyro which was outstanding! Fresh veggies and overstuffed with lamb. Well seasoned. A bit messy due to overstuffing but that is a ok in my book.

Anyone else try this place yet? Im curious what the more "exotic" stuff tastes like.

Iveonly seen that spirits truck a couple of times and only around rapides hospital. While i do agree that it is a great place to eat, i think its mostly atmosphere. The food itself is good but not amazing IMO. I do eat there on a semi regular basis.

How was the spirits food truck menu different then their regular menu. Spirits has always had my favorite Rueban sandwich

What an unfortunate name for a restaurant/food truck.

They had a few things Spirits does not offer. Shrimp and grits for one. Tacos. Maybe some other things. I think Lee decided to park it for now though. I'll ask him tonight or tomorrow.

Was that on Skye street, right past the Coliseum? I saw it and thought it was a taco truck last weekend.

i saw that(Bismillah) the other day, will try it for lunch today.

Spirits food trucks has other offerings. Grilled oysters sometimes, a fantastic shrimp salad on croissant, etc. Just depends on the day. I think Lee is in the process of building the new building on Texas where the old health center used to be, so he has less time to do the food truck thing.

Tried spirits truck once. Was impressed. Don't even remember what I had. I wish there's were more. Tired if the same chain crap around here. Pineville is even worse.

So I tried it today. Apollo is better. More expensive but better. It was ok though.

Did try poppa t's about a month ago. I had a po boy, wasn't bad. My co worker ordered the lunch special and it was ok, but the mashed potatoes and gravy were obviously from mixes. Nothing homemade.

I would say everything really. I find the chicken to be too dry to eat, but that must just be me because plenty of people are ordering it. The things I order most often:

Gyro salad, Feta(they have 3 or so different salads you can choose from)
Gyro plate
Gyro sandwich combo
Chicken Arabie(Very different)
Whatever the appetizer combo is called. These items(grape leaves, kibbe etc. are not as good as the old Greek place that closed, but it's better than not having them)
Shrimp pasta.
