Hoppy Tuesday to all: Some New Texas Beers were scored today

1. Southern Star's just released Valkrie 2IPA. This was last year's pro-am now an annual release from SS.
2. Karbach Hop Delusion...a relatively newish 2IPA from Karbach...I have it on good authority this is even better than rodeo clown.
3. Buffalo Bayou More Cowbell 2IPA...I have never seen their beers on shelves anywhere but have had this on tap a couple of times and it was awesome on tap. Happy to see they are now bottling these.
I've got work to do now. I picked up three of each of these today...the hops aren't getting any fresher

I found Buffalo Bayou More Cowbell at Specs on Katy Freeway if that helps. Didn't see the other two there.

I was lucky and found a 4 pack of Austin Beerworks - Heavy Machinery (Double IPA). Haven't tried it yet, but it was a limited release so I hope it is good.

Does IPA stand for India Pale Ale or Imperial Pale Ale or something else entirely. Like, say International Piglatin Association. Tia

Specs on Smith Street had them all. Valkrie wasn't out on the shelves and I asked and he went back and got a full box. they only come in 16.9 oz bottles.
There were just a few More Cowbell's out but I hear late summer Buff Bayou plans to make it a year around release. they are also going to be putting out "Meer Koebel" which is flemish for "more cowbell " soon. The Meer Koebel is the same as More Cowbell but uses Belgian yeast.
There looked to be one full box of the HOp Delusion bombers left but it was really hard to spot. This beer is rated 94 out of 100 on BA if that matters at all.

Off I-10, not too at from katy mills. In the same shopping center with that big Main Event place. Not from there, so don't know the name of the street it's on.

On the southside of interstate in the strip center where the new Main Event is...not far from Katy Mills Mall.
They are also building a new one on 1093 and Spring green, right near my house in Cinco Ranch...can't wait for that one to open.
