sadly a response will be because xbox sucks or its better than XBONE something stupid like that.
if this thread would actually have solid info it would be great for people who dont have time to watch and all the BS that goes with what these consoles have

In all honesty, because it's an upgrade. It's not a high end PC type upgrade, but it looks like a decent enough one for us peasant console owner types.
ETA: This is referring to PS4 over PS4, not Xbox One.

Reasons for an Upgrade:
While both companies say they will continue to support the older systems (PS3 and 360) ultimately those games will go on the back burner when the new systems come out. Both are more powerful than their predecessor. Developers will focus more funds on the two new consoles over the past consoles which ultimately means that gaming on the ps3 and 360 will suffer (regardless of what you believe).
Why a ps4 and not an xbox one?
-Most will choose the system they want based on exclusives, so i will go ahead and eliminate that point from the discussion.
With both systems now charging for online multiplayer (playstation announced playstation+ is required for online gaming) we will throw that argument out as well.
The PS4 will allow used and traded games,
they have gaikai which they will use for cloud gaming of older games (think virtual console for ps4, kinda)
You don't have to sign on every 24 hours, you can play without an online connection...
The ps4 is 100 bucks cheaper.

The PS4 is $100 cheaper. Plus You don't have to deal with the whole online thingamajig. And you can trade games and play used games. The only exclusive on Xbox one that is good will be Titan Fall. Ps4 has Naughty Dog(Best game developers) Abd we have a game of the year candidate in Infamous Second Son!PS4 for me. I might buy a Xbox 1 once it goes Down though.Happy Gaming!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought they said it would play them from the Gaikai (sp?) cloud service thing. So maybe your old discs mean nothing and you'll have to repurchase. I'm not sure exactly how that will work.

Halo was cool when I was 16-21. Then they started getting all alien with their retarded jet packs and shite. Just lost complete control of the game, and the reasons it got it to where it was. If they go back to the simplicity and greatness of Halo 1 & 2, it would be amazing.

The old metal gears are the only thing I want to carry over. Depending on pricing I would be ok with that, but I would have preferred backwards compatibility. Thanks to everyone for the info

agree to a point.
The new game is pretty good.
and the controller is just like the xbox controller with a couple good improvements. which means (IMO) that it will be great and far better than the PS4 controller.
Im not trying to talk shite just my opinion.
and I ment the other post as me having nothing against PS4 and not gonna bash it like some on here. the only reasons i roll with the xbox is what I said. Not meant to be a jab at Sony. More of a im indifferent and those 2 things are what tips me in the MS direction
