Hopefully eto'os injury isn't too bad, he'll be starting both games against PSG.

Yea he and Schurrle have really played well in their last 2-3 games. As sad as it is, Eto'o is our best bet going forward if we have any hope to make a real CL run.

I like Willian. He has shown there is potential in the future with him in the middle (replacing Lamps eventually?). Ramires...not a fan of his at all. He is all over the place hacking people nonstop. He rarely tracks back and when he does, I worry about a free kick or penalty killing us. I would like to see David Luiz take his spot at holding mid. He is awkward at times but I see so many more positives in his game than Ramires.

This is true.

This is not. That dude is all over the field all the time. His incredible work rate is the only reason he's on the pitch. No way Jose would be playing him if he didn't track back.

He is all over the field and his work rate is incredible. However, tracking back is not his strong suit. Maybe Jose feels he is the best we have.

I'm not arguing that he's particularly good at it, due to his numerous rash challenges, I'm just saying he does it.

As for Luiz why he's not a permanent fixture in the midfield is beyond me. His skill set, and maybe more importantly his mindset, are so much more suited for that role than CB. Especially on a team like Chelsea.

2-0 win at the Bridge sees us through. Didn't do ourselves any favors...

If Ibra is out, and Lavezzi is also hurt it really helps out.

Last goal changed everything, just awful defending. Really disappointed with our back line/Cech today.

That was the worst. I'm so irritated with the performance. Pitiful. Cech was pitiful. That may be the worst game I've seen him play.

It really was the worst. I can generally handle losing but giving it away like that is so frustrating.

First goal someone, Cech, has to give Terry a shout though Terry should know better than to head a ball back into the middle like that.

Second goal all on Cech for me. You can't let a free kick bounce inside the 6.

Third goal was obvious we had just switched off, which is unacceptable, but Cech still had a chance to make a near post save.

What is record when Ramires doesn't play. I know I am not a supporter of his, but it would be interesting to see how much of a difference maker he is one way or the other as it relates to the final outcome.

Well hopefully your theory holds true Tuesday.

I guess we will see something like this.

Cech
Ivan Cahill Terry Azpi
Luiz Lamps
Schurrle Oscar Hazard
Eto'o (hopefully)

Anybody think anything differently?

Probably Ramires instead of Lamps. The rest look about right. Willian was in beast mode against Stoke so hopefully he plays. Honestly, I like what we had on the pitch versus Stoke. Who knows.

The key will be to score that first goal early so that we don't have to take too much risk and expose ourselves in the back. A clean sheet is possible but realistically we will probably concede a goal, which means we'll need to score at least three.

Ramires is suspended for, shockingly, too many yellows.

I liked what I saw against against Stoke so no Ramires is no problem in my book. A 2-0 win sees us advance. Lets hope.

Frank Terry and Ivan also scored in that game, They will all three be playing Tuesday. One from each should do the trick again.
