Skinless/Boneless Chicken vs Boned Chicken throwdown

I've always been more skinless/boneless, just did some chicken breasts with the bones and all and came our really well... may have to start going back. Chicken is so nasty with the skin and bones and all raw but then cooked its like wham and looks delicious.

Fried thigh or leg with skin > skinless boneless breast
And it's not even close.

I was doing skinless for a while, but baking chicken with the skin is just so much better

Boneless, skinless thighs are the best part of the chicken by far. Cooking with them is sure fire.

No doubt. Grilled or smoked quarters are awesome.

I remember growing up (70's & 80's) my mom (really my grandmother) would do fried chicken at least once a week. She'd buy two whole friers and cut them up. Her batter was made from scratch and she'd fry them in an iron skillet with some crisco. Best damn chicken I've ever had or ever will have.

i don't like to buy chicken... you have to buy a whole pack of legs or whole pack of thighs... aside from just buying a chicken... is there an assortment deal?

I still fry it that way, and was taught by my grandmother. I have a cast iron skillet specifically used for frying chicken. I refuse to eat deep fried chicken from fast food places.

Yes, most grocery stores have packages with assorted pieces already cut up. The best way is to cut up your own, but if you don't want to do that, buy a couple of whole chickens & ask your butcher to do it for you.

I dont normally buy meat at walmart but chicken is an exception. Chicken is chicken as far as i can tell and they sell a pack that has 4 legs, 4 thighs, and 4 wings, no breasts. That is a perfect grilling pack IMO as breasts take a lot longer/different grilling technique than the rest of the pieces.
