I was interested in getting information regarding Oklahoma's baseball facility. Don't know if this has been posted yet:

Quick Facts: L. Dale Mitchell Park
Year Opened 1982
Renovated 2002, '08, '09, '11, '12
Official Capacity 3,180
Largest Crowd 4,544 vs. Texas (5/4/1995)
Dimensions LF: 335, CF: 411, RF: 335

I found this first paragraph on the Sooner baseball site to be intriguing:

"Consistently voted as one of the top playing surfaces in college baseball, L. Dale Mitchell Park provides a state-of-the-art facility for the OU baseball program."

I don't know if they have played in a venue like The Box.

Last year they won the Charlottesville regional and lost at South Carolina in the Supers.

I guess they're pretty good at growing grass. It's been a few years since my last stop in Norman, but it gets very windy up there. Their ballpark is similar to our softball stadium in that it is cut into a berm.

very few have. It's more about being on the road vs being at home. They just went into a visiting regional and won.
LSU's talent & the simple fact that it's not home will affect OU more than the specific venue...IMO.

Oklahoma sportscaster on Moscona's show just said they played their Super Regional last year at USCe.

Our stadium is shite. OU doesn't have very good fan support for baseball.

shite is probably the wrong word. It's just tiny
