How do the Heat & Spurs match up? Who guards Bron Bron?

DWade vs. Manu should be interesting. Will they both guard each other primarily? I don't know their rotations, is Manu even starting or is he still coming off the bench?

can/will Timmy guard Bosh out on the perimeter? If not who will? I doubt Diaw/Splitter can.

I'm guessing the Heat will throw everyone at Parker in rotations (Cole, Chalmers, Wade, Bron, etc)

Other than Leonard, who is gonna check Lebron?

Will Pop try to run zone in spurts? Or will Miami's 3pt shooters not allow this to happen whatsoever?

Someone who follows these two teams please fill me in. Grazie

I think Leonard and Danny Green.

Leonard will be a tougher matchup than Paul George imo. Because I dont know if LeBron can bulldoze him.

I still say no one guarded LeBron like Jimmy Butler. That dude was tough as shite.

The funny thing is...these teams played twice in the regular season and the Spurs sat their starters at Miami and the Heat sat their starters at San Antonio...

Has there ever been an NBA Finals where the two teams never actually "played" a game in the regular season.

Forgot about Green, but isn't he giving up 60 lbs to Lebron? Don't understand why Lebron doesn't post wayyyy more often when these smaller guys try to check him (ie: George Hill)

Probly a combo of Kawhi/Danny Green will guard Bron.

Kawhi Leonard. One of the best perimeter defenders in the league.

Green is bigger than Hill, and stronger.

Will still give up size to Bron, but won't be as overmatched as Hill was.

If you remember that Dallas series...Every time he tried to post up a small guy they would call a charge. He's gotta get over that though.

I'm pretty positive he can and has. He was 9 for 16 in the game earlier this year guarded mostly by Leonard.

Also, I think it's doubtful Duncan gets the generous "verticality" calls that Hibbert got during this series. So that should free up finishes near the rim.

I think the series comes down to who gets more open 3s and who makes them.

Patty Mills is going to distract him with his brilliant towel waving prowess while Bonner takes him one on one.

Presented mostly as a curiosity: With Norris Cole on the court, Tony Parker went 4-of-13 with 4 free-throw attempts in 34 min.

If Cole can continue competent offensive play, I really expect him to play a large role in the Finals. He's a great on-ball defender and his athleticism can give Parker problems or at least make him work extra hard.

That's some nice sample sizes you got there. From a regular season game, too.

Oh that's clever.. Though I think that's the whole point of the caveat "presented mostly out of curiosity."

Who's trying to be clever? Just stating that those numbers don't mean much. Though I guess you know that.
It seemed like you were putting a lot of stock into that 9-16 performance.

Spoke to Popovich at All-Star, asked what's difference between LeBron his Spurs swept in 2007 w/Cavs and now. "He's a grown-***** man now."

Yeah, I have to lol at any spurs fan that thinks they're getting the same Lebron from 07. He's a much better, faster and more skilled player as well. His shooting has improved a frick ton. He also has a much better team behind him now.
