So you think he's slower than what he was in highschool?

that's different slow one. Armstead is a man now not a boy. Of course he's going to be stronger, faster, smarter and everything.

don't you think NFL rookies are still in that transition stage?

To adjust to the speed of the NFL, yeah. But once they go through college with all the weight training and stuff they absorb in college I would say their done growing from boy to man. And only little can be added on thereafter.

Dumb, dumb, dumb. I knew you would twist shite up sooner rather than later. What I just said was in reference to your question. Not my original comment.

not twisting anything. you said he's done from boy to man but he's quickly gained 9 lbs of hopeful muscle mass. He's fresh into an NFL strength and conditioning program coming from arkansas pine bluff. All i'm saying is I don't think you can say 9 lbs of added muscle immmediately makes him that much slower if his conditioning improves along with his mass to be able to maintain same agility and speed.

Not every players' body is "mature" when they come into the league.

wtf are you talkin about?? He's already done growin as a man, yeah. But if he wants to add more weight to his frame, he can. Has nothing to do with what you are tryin to say. Anyone that is already and adult gains more weight will slow down somewhat.

quote:I just think it's a bit presumptuous of you to assume that him adding weight is a minus when our coaching staff obviously feels good about it. Maybe his strength was a concern and now he is improving that. Just seems like you're making a lot of assumptions without actually watching the guy in practice

someone needs to advise nfl.com you can't speed up or gain muscle post college.
quote:
Weaknesses
Needs to improve lower body strength. Can get bull rushed back. Faced sub-par competition. Needs to speed up hands, and be more consistent with his aiming point. Gets to the second level quickly, but will struggle to locate his target, gets lost in space. Will lunge at defenders with his head down in the run game.

you can't throw out opinions and not choose a side of the fence on the particular of the argument.
