I forgot how great of a game Oblivion is

I started replaying it recently and I might like it more than Skyrim. After I get bored of this I'll replay Skyrim, but I still feel like I got more into Oblivion than Skyrim. I like the map more, but I think the Skyrim storyline is a little better. I do like the guilds and side quests more in Oblivion though

The portals got a little repetitive after a while, but the guilds were much better and I enjoyed the cities a little more.
I put in over 120 hrs on Oblivion. Not nearly that much in Skyrim.
I was a little disappointed that Skyrim didn't have the coliseum like Oblivion did.
Also, the Daedric weapons were much better.

I agree. I think I'll spend my whole summer with 3 new characters for Oblivion. 1 fighter, 1 mage, and 1 thief. I've been playing the most with my thief so far. Hopefully after I finish with all 3 I'll do the same with Skyrim. I really hope there is an Elder Scrolls VI

I hope they go to the land of the Wood Elves. massive moving trees like in LoTR sounds freaking awesome.

oblivion > skyrim. it is known

it is known. the knights of the nine quest was cool and the thieves guild was more legitimate. in the skyrim thieves guild the story sucked and you could pretty much chop anyone to pieces who saw you.

I got way too distracted doing the guild quests and such I never got into the main story.
I probably played 100+ hours and I think the last scene of the actual main quest was meeting Sean Bean's son...

I'm at 143 hours on oblivion, 181 on Skyrim. I like Oblivions side quests better, especially the Dark Brotherhood.

Nope, quoted before the edit. Blood is in the water, you shall be shamed!

i got stuck trying to clos 1 gate.
i cannot for the life of me figure out where i need t go, or how i got into this pathway that has no where to go.
oblivion is ok, much better on the interaction part, with people. skyrim is bland on convo.
skyrim would of been better with repairing armor, weapons, etc.
but, with very few limitations, that 360 had, the next elder scrolls should be one hell of a game.

also, to start the game, i had this dark brotherhood guy come talk to me. since i'm not into that shite, i killed him. I then have a big bounty on me! seriously????
i killed him, in pitch darkness, he is a ruthless killer, and i have a bounty?

I played Oblivion on xbox.
I'll go back and play it one day on PC with beautification mods.......and a friggin' lightsaber.

Yeah, that's why periodically I'll just save at a random point.
