Netflix Streaming - Anyone Else Think It Sucks?

I've come to the realization that I rarely watch streaming any more. I've seen the TV shows I want to watch and there's really only a handful of good movies available.
Just look at some of the recently added movies to streaming:
The Showdown
True & Justice (Seagal film)
Skatopia
Treasure Island (I think a TV movie)
Parker Posey Price Check
Ghost Cat
All Hell Broke Loose
Bounty
Igby Goes Down
Tomb Raider
House on the End of the Street
New Movies?
End of Watch
The Lorax
Call the Midwife
Act of Valor
Bernie
What to Do When You're Expecting
Nitro Circus
Friends with Kids
Jeff Who Lives at Home
Casa de Mi Padre (Will Ferrell movie. Never heard of it though)
The Awakening
The Paperboy (Already heard about the peeing and masturbating)
Vampire Diaries
The Dictator
But any classic movie or something worth watching a second time? Not available.

I think they recently stripped down their library big time.

Still beats the shite out of the alternatives.

Not an Arrested Development fan, huh?

I love it. I've watched so many great shows on there for cheap that I never would have watched without Netflix

You are comparing it to what you want it to be, not to it's alternatives. For $8 a month you actually get quite a bit. They have shifted focus from Movies to TV, but it's easily worth the price.

Great movie.

Netflix is great if you have kids.
There are only 1 or 2 shows the wife and I watch, and we rarely watch movies on Netflix.

I keep hearing that, yet I keep passing on it.
What did you like about it?

There is tons and tons of kid stuff.
Not to mention, there are tons of TV shows I've been able to catch up on/rewatch. If you're getting it just for movies, I wouldn't bother. The selection is pretty bare. Well, it's not really bare, but it cracks me up how long i can scroll before i even find a movie i've ever heard of.

I fricking hate these threads. I wouldn't be opposed to the OP dying in a fire if anyone wants to set that up.

Well acted, plenty of good one liners, cared about all of the major characters, Amanda Peet's tits.

Quite a bit of unwatchable television.
Most of the shows that are worth watching, I've watched. Parks and Rec, Breaking Bad, House of Cards. Good shows.
Sopranos, Game of Thrones, The Wire? Not there. Don't care about contracts and HBO being pricks.
Seinfeld? Cosby Show? Not there.
Classic movies? Godfather? Good, Bad, and the Ugly? Tarantino flicks? Pretty much any major blockbuster? Or 90% of the IMDB top 250? Not there.
The price is great. That's why I haven't dropped it.

You could make a strong argument that Cheers was the best of the Thursday night NBC lineup, and they have all 11 seasons.

Classic movies?
There's shitloads of classic movies.

Good, Bad, and the Ugly
Once Upon a Time in the West is better, and it's on there.

Tarantino flicks?...not there.
Excluding Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Jackie Brown (so almost half of his movies), you're 100% correct.

I really have enjoyed watching Underbelly on netflix. Three seasons but each season is a separate time period and story.
Underbelly is a 13-part Australian television mini-series that retells the real events of the 1995–2004 gangland war in Melbourne, and is the first series in the larger Underbelly Franchise.

I'm enjoying it. I have plenty of shows in my queue that can hold me for probably 3 years or 3 months of non-stop watching.

There are some good movies on there but I'll admit I use it more for T.V. shows than movies
