A few years ago when I looked at St. Mikes it was 60-40 girls to boys. They don't have much success bringing in really good male athletes. Their baseball teams are decent though. They should take a page from what Catholic did and bring in a large class of public school minority kids who play football. This will turn around a football program quick.

Catholic just did that?

Never knew why we didn't do that for basketball.

The fact that we field a 6'0 team in 5A every year, with 1000 boys beats me

Why would a high school head coach leave to become a high school low-ranking assistant? Who did he bang?

1. spend more time with kids.... son entering HS...
2. he is a brothers of sacred heart guy - wanted to get back into a school in their system.
3. maybe he felt it was time.
4. spend more time with kids....
5. He wore many hats at St Mike... takes up a lot of time.

he didn't bang anyone or do anything wrong... He is a stand up guy - and then some.

Was wondering why I didn't see him playing basketball this past season. What is the Story? Why did he leave Dunham?

More money (if it is more) and less job responsibilities. Almost none as a RB/ST coach in high school. I think anyone would take an offer like that.

I wonder if Dale is bringing him in as his replacement - his son has a sweet deal at Zachary and might not want to come back to CHS.

This is old but I remember reading this and just found out that Drake is back at Dunham. If he keeps up with academics, he's a lock for BCS offers everywhere.

Definately making more $. The ad at Bishop told me the raise he would get at Catholic would pay for his son's tuition at Bishop. Bishop does not give anyone a tuition discount if their kid goes there.
