How will it be if a 1 loss eliminator beats an unbeaten to make the SECCG?

Strangest bracket I've ever seen.

This was probably discussed a month ago, but I'm like Mr Tardy.

I believe that has happend to LSU. I seem to recall them losing 1 game and the tourney at one point.

SEC has really screwed up this whole tournament.

We need to go back to an 8-team tourney modeled identical to the CWS. I'm okay with a 1-game championship game (as opposed to 3 in the CWS), but everything else needs to be identical to the CWS bracket. The SEC tournament should be "practice" for the big dance, and the current setup is just crap and irrelevant. It's not even good "practice."

I totally agree with you... Single-elimination in the semifinals is ridiculous. Why even play the tournament if we're going to just go through the motions and not do it right?

it's actually the most reasonable format if you want to accomplish all of the following:

1. cram as many teams as you can into the conf tourney
2. give the middlin' teams a chance to play 2-3 games
3. avoid teams playing doubleheaders on Sat and Sun.

I want LSU to win the tournament through the winner's bracket.

But if they lose to a loser's bracket team, I'd just as soon go home instead of going through two more games worth of pitching and risk injury and/or tired arms.

agreed.

Single Elimination all the way through would be best.

It would not matter at all. The fortunes of the 2 teams in the title game are secured one way or the other.
