George Springer---Ryan Braun as a hitter, (Tori Hunter as a fielder)

I'm not going to dignify this whole post with a response, but let me touch on this one real quick. There are a lot of Astros' fans callign for Springer to be moved up to the majors already, saying that if he isn't moved up by July then the FO is moving him too slow. His K rate is over 30% at AA. To put that into perspective, Chris Carter and Adam Dunn's K rates were 20% and 19% at AA respectively. GEORGE SPRINGER IS STRIKING OUT 10% MORE AT AA THAN CHRIS CARTER AND ADAM DUNN. Just keep reading that last sentence over and over.

Don't get me wrong, I love Springer as a prospect. He is a toolshed. Dude can hit for average, walk, play great defense, good arm, and has light tower power. Strikeouts will always be a big part of his game, but if he is striking out 30% of the time in AA he would be abused so badly in the majors he would make Chris Carter look like fricking Ichiro.

Jared Cosart

Played against these two many times. Singleton is really good. Big guy with power. I HATED throwing against him. He has absolutely no problem taking a pitch opposite field in any count. Seemed to have a good eye and has great hands. He needs to settle down though. Every time we played his team at home he'd figure out who smoked and come hang out after the games to get high. Obviously getting to the BIGS will alleviate this problem.

Cosart can sit 95 and has a hammer of a breaking ball. Iv never seen him not dominate and most hitters just shake their heads on the way back to the dugout. He has the "stuff" to be really good. He's also a little off and I think he's had some serious arm problems. But I went against him in spring training and he looked great.

Mother. of. God. This is a lot of fail to take in.

I will actually give you
quote:

Jonathan Singleton---Justin Morneau

quote:

Jared Cosart--Jared WEaver

Completely different styles

quote:

Delino Deshields JR--no current player compares, but he is very similar to Vince Coleman with more pop)

Maybe Starling Marte

quote:

George Springer---Ryan Braun as a hitter, (Tori Hunter as a fielder)

He's very toolsy but dude is striking out at a rate of over 200/year. Braun averages right over 100/year for his career.

quote:

Carlos Correa--Migeul Cabrera

Moving on

quote:

Mike Foltynewiecz--Matt Cain

Meh, maybe

I don't anymore Got released this year after spring training after having labrum surgery late 2011. Workout with the Yankees a few days ago that didn't result in getting picked up so I'm done now.

I am one of the biggest Astros homerfan you will find. But after reading your comparisons based off your "crack research"...

I did a bit of crack research myself. In a few short years, this Snow Cone vendor will be the next Gordon Ramsey.
