We shoud lose our national seed because of this reason alone. We are doomed!!!!!

They should be the top seated team.

You are putting way too much emphasis on the conference tournaments when what they're really for is to give auto bids to the weaker conferences and determine bubble teams for the strong conferences. Vandy, UNC, Cal, LSU, UVA, etc. are more concerned with lining up their pitching than winning and the committee knows this.

I hate it when people say "as long as LSU is a national seed it doesn't matter." It definitely matters. Would you rather be the 8 seed playing the 1 or the 1 playing the 8?? It's like when a team is making a comeback and the announcers say "well that run doesn't really matter." Hell yeah it matters, that run is kind of important in completing the comeback.

And then when the 1 doesn't make it to Omaha, you get the easiest draw, it can happen.

And don't freak. They are 3 at worst at this point.

I love the people showing vandy dropping to 4. Talk about putting way too much emphasis pn this tourney. Project a vandy loss to USC and stack their resume up to the other top 3 teams

I don't want the #1 seed.

The #1 Seed hasn't won the CWS since 95

LSU's RPI is being held back by their SOS, but that should improve with each Tourney win. If LSU wins out, it could be interesting. Curious to see how things shake out with Virginia and UNC, too.

Over the years, I've learned not to take anything for granted with that crazy-assed selection committee, but I would think if they win out, they could be #1. I don't think they put LSU and Vandy at #1 and #2 regardless of things shake out. My guess:

1 LSU
2 UNC
3 Vandy
4 Virginia
5 Oregon St
6 CSF
7 Florida St
8 Oregon

This is assuming LSU wins out and UNC doesn't choke. I could see them balancing out the ACC / SEC by giving one conference (SEC) the #1 seed and the other (ACC) 3 National Seeds.

Vandy could go 2 and out and still have two fewer conference losses than LSU. And that's if LSU wins the tournament.

They actually tend to look more at the overall record and RPI, and LSU has the best record in college baseball. They really need to boost that RPI in the Tourney to make it a lock.

Of course, at the end of the day it really doesn't matter. LSU is an absolute lock for a National Seed, that's what's important.
