33 bucks for a regular mic is overkill. However if its true that those other triton mics fit the pros I may go that route.

Right now I have a cheap laptop mic rigged up but the quality is poor and its pretty janky.

I've heard bad things about the AX50s but only good about the 40s.

Also the xpSeven (sp?) from turtle beach is new and looks like its high quality.

I wouldn't invest too much until PS confirms current mics will work.

Also, if you have to have some for now, I would just get some cheap refurbs from somewhere. You can find Steel Series and TB refurbs for $40.

Yeah I'm not buying until after E3 hopefully more info will be released.

My Trittons still sound great. I just piss my parties off with the crappy mic.

Aren't the current mics just bluetooth mics?

Right now I use a rather expensive gamer headset. Not Bluetooth. USB and digital optical.

I'm getting the sense that XB1 is less a gaming rig, than a media rig that plays games. . .whereas PS4 is a gaming rig that does media shite.

I am still immensely underwhelmed by either. . .but will wait.

Might wait a year, after the inevitable recall/mass repair from Microsoft.

They've already said any USB and any Sony mic will work on the PS4.

I've got the Sony Pulse so I was gonna be pissed if I had just spent $130 a few months ago for them to not work on the PS4, all clear though.

So it's inevitable now? Sounds legit to me.

Well I guess I will wait on the PS4 until the inevitable hacking and security problems are fixed.

I agree. Both are completely ridiculous.

sure.

I am not advocating either at this point. Maybe something will wow me, but am playing it safe.

I adopted the 1-month waiting period for EA games and it has saved me tons of money by avoiding bad games.

I am applying a new 1-year rule to next gen consoles, because the 1st year was frantic for PS3 an their supply issues. . .and DISASTROUS for MS resulting in the largest product repair/recall thingy ever.

After a year or so, they'll have the bugs worked out-ish. By then it should be clearer what system is worth the 5 bills.

I would bet paychecks that one, and more likely both systems have a major issue within the 1st year. Then they'll release a new model with the problems fixed.

That's the one I'll buy, if I am moved to do so.
