There's part in the trailer where he has no shirt on and he's pretty big I think. His character is a gym rat kind of guy.

I made an observation on how much bigger he's gotten physically for this role. I would notice that change on any actor.
For example, Mr. Danza appears to be in pretty good shape as well but I'm not looking to get with him either.

Mostly a bunch of speculation. Bale is done with the role and they set up JGL's character to take over at the end of TDKR. With the talks of the Justice League movies to come, and the massive success of the Batman films, it would make sense to recast.

I figures as much. This role is different than anything he's ever done so it wil be interesting to see how he does in it.
