If I remember correctly, their park is kind of shoehorned up against Memorial Gym.

Several of us at the game today were talking about Katz CF shot that was 402, fence at 405. It is a huge park and any smaller it would have yielded up to 4 HRs maybe with 2 for each team. The LF depth at the Auburn Field is ridiculously short.

Look at doze's picture above. The LF wall at Auburn is not deep but it's high, similar to the Green Monster at Fenway.

I kind of like asymmetrical ball parks.

As far as moving the fences, I think they should just start using the pro ball. That could be the best of both worlds.
You still have too put a good swing on it with the current bats, but if you connect with a good swing, the ball will still carry.

It's pathetic that college hitters can't hit the ball out to straight away center since BBCOR bats have been standard issue.

I can't remember the last time I saw a HR to dead center.

Last one I remember was Matt Gaudet at Ole Miss in 2010.
Wind was blowin pretty hard that day, Ranaudo had a bad outing.

what happened to left field at auburn

Electrical sub-station behind it.

We have the Green Monster though, so it isn't all that easy to homer out in left.

The center field fence at the Box is 405 so what was there to discuss about that one since it wouldn't have been out at the Box?

And Auburn's short left field and big wall are like that because of a big power station behind there.

And there hasn't even been many balls hit over the center fielder's head straight away either, without an obvious misplay anyway.

A&M hit one over Stevenson the best center fielder ever's head in center.
