Players Who Would Never Be in the HOF if It Was Based on NBA Only Accolades

This is mainly based on foreign players getting in but there are others like the Red Hat Ladies team. Ginobli doesn't have the numbers. One All-Star game and a career bench player but he will get in due to his work with Argentina.

Yao Ming will be elected.

I don't know that he's a HoF, but calling him a bench player is a bit misleading.

He has come off the bench more times then he has started. I'm not saying he's not a good player but its true.

If Pau never played Internationally, would he be HOF?

He comes off the bench because that's the way the Spurs want it, not because he isn't good enough to start. So that changes your argument.

The basketball HOF fame is littered with people like this, we'd be here all day.

It doesn't change his numbers.

That is the point of the thread.

Well isnt it "The Basketball Hall of Fame" and not "The NBA Hall of fame"?

Did you not read the thread title? Making it Basketball HOF has diluted the name. If football included CFL, UFL, and XFL players, it would not be looked at as fondly.

Exactly

If Harden spent his entire career on the bench of OKC, he wouldn't have been an All-Star and have HOF numbers and therefore not be a HOF either.

So the thread should be "NBA Players Who Would..." right?

No because then we couldn't discuss members like this.

Herschel Walker should be in the Pro Football HOF

For you it has. Others, those capable of critical thinking, might not feel the same.
