What kind of food are you looking for? Gatlin's and Petrol Station are two good recs for BBQ or a good burger.

One of the best draft selections in Houston. And they often have burger & pint specials.
ETA: Just saw that they'll have DFH 120 Minute tonight starting at 6.

See if Cottonwood or Shepherd Park Draughthouse are open for lunch. Along 290 outside of 610 is kind of a shitty area.
